Howard Gardner, professor of Cognition and Education at Harvard University, has developed a theory that proposes six new intelligences apart from the Linguistic and Mathematical intelligences: Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Musical, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Naturalist and Spatial intelligences.
At school, we create learning experiences which focus on developing these intelligences that help understand all kind of topics more easily.
Moreover, we add a ninth intelligence: The Spiritual Intelligence. According to Danah Zohar and Ian Marshall, the Spiritual Intelligence is essential because it allows us to face and solve problems related to senses and values, as well as regard our life from an ampler and more significant context and at the same time, decide on the most valuable action or way in life.
They consider that the Spiritual Intelligence is in our whole being, working harmoniously with the rational and emotional intelligence.
